MOMENTS OF GLEE - BY OLANIYI ABDULWAHEED

The time has tied our heart and soul
So not to dry, swiftly we ought to lick the honey snarling in our lips,
In our tongues.

Now this love is green and young
Fragile like egg, delicate to cut
By absence and loneliness.

The stems of our love has grown the boughs;
Born the leaves to cover the sun
That may peep at our furtive moments

 A centenary-long -letter I have written
To warn days to close it eyes, twilight to stay for ages, night to freeze its motion
For our chuckles, in bed, to sing for ages

All night guards marching,
Chasing away the fright
Must hold the motion of the night

It’s now the time to open the gate of hips
Set the voyage on the sea of pleasure
And catch the whales that may meddle on the way

Let the flute of scrotum sing
Let the gleeful-cry buzz

To the fruit of the ovum.
