SPASM - Akande Iqmat

I want to know you he said, tell me about yourself With a mind  crossing so many thoughts, I smiled With curiosity he looked, thinking he had a clue,a clue of my smile But nah he doesn't,not  even the tip Looking  deep down his eye ,I said to myself It's all in the past and tears should not be shed lost in search of words he waited curiously..... I am a lady I began, a lady so pained, hurt and damaged A lady stripped of her pride and left undignified Drained in the pool of tears and cared for so less A lady whose maidenhood was snatched in that big structured house A lady who laid helplessly and her cries  wasn't heard A  lady who was subdued by anger, terror and force Whose feelings were of no concern when he penetrated. A young lady exposed to the cruelty of the world so early A lady left to clean up a mess she never started Left in nudity and defenseless A lady unlocked with the wrong key and departed looking for extra keys ...

The Paradise from hell - Abdulwaheed Olaniyi

Some bury their hearts  in the charming awful risk,  Some lick the lips Of the shinning sun, Some hold firmly, the hell of money abreast,  Some sacrifice their fates for  their fortunes,  Some leave the haven and live in the desert,  Some cry to nurse their smiles.  To makes them the future of their lives,  They go through hell to give them paradise.  They are the parents building the paradise through the hell of time.

AN ENCOUNTER WITH LOVE. - By Saka Temitope Abdulmalik

Never imagined your existence, An abstract and unreal picture of you I had,no pretence. Until I saw a furtive wave, lurking towards me, Introspectively, what could this be? It was a she, with lustrous pulchritude. Angels are males, and Jinns, I can not see.... So,who are u?a mermaid? Into my hear you whispered,LOVE.. Out of their sockets,I found my eyes, Now clearer my vision, like hers, Hears widened,it sounded nice. So you are real! I exclaimed, with tears. Your hushed voice quenched my hunger,  Very actuated!hairs stood in each strand. I wished we stayed longer... Until the whining mosquito brought me from dreamland. Visited by you,I'm more delighted. The company of love birds, I'd say. A courtesy visit,I'd repay. To fulfill What you requested.

WHO AM I? - By Winlade Isreal

Image
I'm the silent audible voice  Speaking down from my heart  To the hearing of deafening ears  In the midst of flooding naira notes.  Who am I?  I'm the intellectual voice  In the jungle of demands  For the collective cake  Of life and justice.  My voice echoes hope  For the hopeless soul   From my clean sheet  Dirty by my bleeding tongue. ©By Winlade Facebook:Winlade Isreal  Instagram: winladeisreal

EHOES OF RUFOUS NIGHTINGALE - ADURAGBEMI BARNABAS

Image
Do you remember those times? When gateway of memories marries the cloudy storm When death is pleasurable than living blood And tears is tastier than coconut sugar Do you remember the toss of wind? That passes through the desert dream I want to climb high, but feet fray fiery furrows It’s my joy to smile jars of strength, but moon mourns the welkin Plumes of honor burnt along the terrace of naked streets Broken chinas of hope on slippery lines of pleasant dreams. Inclement rain drenched the last costly attires And sun refuses to minister on pulpit of sensation Even the erected house of refuge crumbled unnoticeably Solitary grave is enviable than this beautiful journey For I will rather play with rotten bones than this healthy flesh It is not in our uttermost aim to twist hands moving on dialect But timing is useless in the underneath darkness of musing mind It is not our agendum to break the lens of binoculars But even the beggars-blind know the...
