AYANFE - By David O. AKANO (KING JUSTICE)

Ayanfe!
My lady of virtue.
She whose presence rocks my heart
Like the traditional beat of odun oba.
And her love fingering my little spot belle
Like the tasty stew of ogbono.

Ayanfe!
Wait! Must I forever speak of us?
Even at the battle field, fighting on horses
Or on the play field, picking on roses
Lovingly moving down the narrow path pointing to houses
That we'll like to build together with our own family.

Ayanfe!
Let us sing of disapproving-display in the shade,
By friends who doesn't believe we've prayed,
They think their part has been played
But to us it seems much like a shade.

Ayanfe!
Let your glossy body show the wide world
Of our secret love affair
As we are set to face them all
And tell them of our undying love.
