BLAZING DIAMOND - BY ADURAGBEMI BARNABAS

Hewing meadow conjoined the shadowy stars
Thick shade of the gloomy moon erected a tent of content
Bedroom of abyss birthed the running lines of brightening bay
Three legged lightning rent the haughty garment of welkin
Early mountain dew offered obeisance to the smoky winged chariot.

Face of the deep mirrors irregularities lingering on sunset
Blind illumination weakened thrilling dianthus of decorated valley
Shackles of wind wriggles over the perforated mislaid musing map
Broken walls failed to retrieve the consciousness of the muddy alcove
Mosquitoes of ages betrayed the busy blood of many toiling workers.

I will walk pleasurably on the broken thorns of many branches
I will sit on the mocking hills that birthed and nurtured ignorance
I will chop down the giant tree obstructing at the center of T-junction
I will incinerate the dancing masquerade racing furiously with hungry cow
I will bury undertakers of desperation and mothers of forlorn hopes.

Uncovered hands to pluck the ripe oranges among thirsty bees
Wounded purloiner to unnoticeably snatched entrance from gunner
Featherless flamingo to crawl through the higher crystal canopy
Ageless mushroom to untie the wanting gypsy in the scorching sun
Sharpened pencil to sketch the moving shadow of the singing dragon.

Knock vigorously on the doors of brass and windows of iron
Discern the warnings of the sonorous messages of nightingale
Lioness can be send on errand across the taming streets of trust
Handpicked the radiant keys from gutters to unlock the treasure
Carpenters of coffin should measure the height of mulish corpse.

Dead stone will resurrect as the blazing diamond of many colours
Lushness will hold a meeting with comfort in the compound of rainbow
Apotheosis of bitter strength sediments in the rushing mighty waters
Echoes of faithful digging passes through the hidden drums of denizens
On this narrow path will hang the dark garments of these chameleons.
