STRIKE: ASUU WEARS NEW GARMENT




Association of Staff Union of the Universities may soon call off the strike this week as some universities, like University of Ibadan UI, Amadu Bello University ABU and others supported the suspension of ASUU strike which is more than four Months now.
   Twenty-eight chapters supported the suspension, including University of Abuja while eight says universities teachers should continue the strike.
    It is confirmed that the association is waiting for the evidence of the pledge that president vowed to give 220b to the universities yearly as part of the budget to restructure the decayed buildings in the universities.
     Also, the association has urged the government to pay withheld three Months arrears and stop the slang 'no work no pay.'
     However, the vote by some 28 chapters of the association is a new development that worn a new garment for the ASUU's marathon strike. It is previewed that the association may call of the strike this week after the meeting with their members tomorrow Wednesday.
