Save your heart woman!
I need it no more to live;
our future is no longer together.

Your pleads can't save the day,
You've unbuttoned my anger; 
go to that man that satisfies you more!

Give me freedom!
I need peace not pieces 
dangling with a broken spirit.

Two tales of insanity fidgeting, 
one teething urges of freedom, 
separation knocking behind; 
we can make a world apart!

Give me freedom!
A man of action looks beyond, 
marriage is a bondage; a forbidden tale 
seen in the mouth of cowards losing their mind.

WORDS RHYMES & RHYTHM LTD (RC 1234112) is pleased to announce the ‘GREEN AUTHOR PRIZE’ (GAP) 2016 for young, unpublished Nigerian poets resident in Nigeria. Nigerian poets between the ages of fourteen (14) and twenty-four (24) who are yet to publish a book are hereby invited to submit their entries. I remembered this particular incident that shaped and reshaped my closeness with family members vividly. This incident also made me make a decision never to put any of my children under the tutelage of any family members. It happened in the year 2010,there was a girl called "Esse."
