Nigeria along the Bramble of language

       Language is the basic requirement of man to make possession of any valuable things in life. Language is the medium through which every individual attains quantitative and qualitative ingredients of life. It is the means through which human beings communication (both verbal and non verbal) and this serves as the hall-mark of a group and society. Thus, language is the symbol of progress for any culture.

Unemployment in Nigeria-the Hope for Hapless People

        It is not even strange in our country to hear someone lamenting the malady of walking on the street, looking for job—unemployment pang. The issue of unemployment in Nigeria is very disastrous in the heart. Though it is generally believed that studying professional or competitive course in the university or any tertiary institution go a long way in making one settle down after the hurdles in the course of training in school. But the question is, is it true that the course that one studied in the university suffices having job (good or not) after years in school? Will it be the destiny that always drives one out of the labor market? The answer is kept in the mind of you and me.

Misuse of English in Nigeria

      Well command tone and correct usage of the English language is not up to par in Nigeria. Many a time, it is difficult for the language users in the country to command the language like the local people (native speakers). Whereas speaking a foreign language like English requires one to learn the basis on how to speak and write in simple, well commanded and communicative expression, so, one will not create patois for oneself, different from the linguistic features belonging to such language.       Actually, English is the official language of Nigeria and popularly spoken by the people in the country. At least it has eased the problem of communication among different ethnic groups—through the language there is friendship among tribes, success in business, which cannot be waved out with one hand.      For years, the morass of the political dire in Nigeria is appalling every day. More than what one can just meddle on, it needs critically philosophical approach to correct the hills surrounding the nation. This started at the early age of independent when rogue people, with their kleptomaniac fingers cut the national cake, kept it in their greedy pocket, which the people who sow the fruits of the country are now in the shadow of forgotten tales, so the nation started unimaginable journey on the famished road.      , So, in great concern, Gegebaseran in his fifty-one-page social satirical play, ‘…exit of alagbara’ portrays egregious minds, having lost conscience for the development of the nation, but in their effort, promoting their selfish mindset rather than being selfless.
